The LMS Media Committee is made up of parents, teachers and school administrators. Members have the important responsibility of reviewing and approving books and materials that are added to the media collection. Members also are given a voice concerning media center activities and promotions. Serving on the media committee is a great way for parents to learn what the students are reading and what services the media center provides.
The media committee will meet once in the fall and again in the spring. Other meetings may be held as needed and some communication will take place through email. Book order proposals will be emailed to members 1-2 weeks prior to meetings so members will have a chance read the book summaries and to research books that may be questionable. It is important for the LMS Media Center to have a strong and expansive collection. We need your help! If you would like to volunteer to serve on the committee please email Mrs. Alford.
